A life-saving emergency beacon with buoyancy bag included, designed for marine enthusiasts and adventurers. SafeLink SOLO is the world's first personal locator beacon (PLB), offering accelerated location detection with GPS and Galileo GNSS receivers.
The Kannad SafeLink SOLO is a MEOSAR-compliant PLB used on land and at sea to provide direct access to search and rescue professionals worldwide via the 406 MHz frequency. SafeLink SOLO, the world's first multi-constellation PLB, uses GPS and Galileo receivers to increase global detection coverage, provide accurate location coordinates and speed up the rescue process.
How does it work?
SafeLink SOLO PLB works by transmitting an emergency signal via the 406 MHz distress frequency, which is monitored by the global COSPAS-SARSAT satellite system, alerting international search and rescue services of the emergency situation and the PLB user ID. In addition, the 72-channel GNSS receivers provide search and rescue services with precise location coordinates, which are updated frequently.
The SafeLink SOLO PLB also transmits on the 121.5 MHz search frequency so that when emergency services approach your coordinates they can ‘zoom in’ on the signal even in reduced visibility.
Whatever your reason for being on the water; work, sport or hobby; carry a SafeLink SOLO PLB, your personal emergency locator beacon. SafeLink SOLO PLB, via the 406 MHz international search and rescue satellite system, allows emergency rescue services to be alerted at any time, anywhere in the world. Once activated, SafeLink SOLO PLB will transmit constantly for a minimum of 24 hours and will operate in temperatures down to -20°C. It also has a flashing LED light that flashes at all times. It also has a flashing LED SOS light that the user can switch on to aid rescue in the dark.
