The manual McMurdo E8 beacon has a powerful distress transmitter transmitting at frequencies of 406 Mhz and 121.5 MHz. It includes a high-brightness LED light that helps rescue services to locate at night or with poor visibility.
It is powered by lithium batteries capable of continuous operation for 48 hours, a factory expiration of approximately 10 years is offered, this expiration may vary according to the regulations of each country. In Spain the regulations indicate that the expiration of the battery is 4 years.
The McMurdo Smartfind E8 beacon manual is supplied with an exclusive support to prevent accidental activation. Once manually removed from the support, the EPIRB is activated manually or by contact with water. It also has the possibility of full self-test, informing you of the remaining battery and checking the correct operation, without needing to be triggered in a real way.
